Does anybody know anything about black steiner binoculars? - good value binoculars

Bought long time ago, I imagine a pair of 8x30 binoculars military, found in the Federal Republic of Germany, of course, while for about 1990th But the strange thing is that they are black, not olive green, most models of the military? A friend said it could be the model driver, but can not find anywhere online. Is there any body knows what they are and what is their value?
